About Us
Tapestry of Life consists of the husband and wife team of Brian and Barby Allison. Barby handcrafts all of the florals and selects the decor items to compliment the floral line. Brian does all of the photography and packing of items for shipment. So as you can see, we are the epitome of a "mom and pop" business! We have been in business for approximately ten years. The business has changed somewhat, as those ten years have found us living in three different states and two foreign countries...Brian's "real" job tends to move us frequently. The opportunity to open an e-commerce store seemed to be the perfect solution to Barby's dream of having a "brick and mortar" store.
Barby loves to design and make the florals. It has been a excellent diversion from the "empty nest" syndrome that she faced when the kids left for college. Now her days are filled with her hot glue gun, pick machine and computer. The highlight of those days are the blessings she receives from the delightful array of customers that the business has brought her way! Brian is not considering quitting his "day job", as he finds this job simply an act of love...not the fulfillment of a dream....as does his wife.
